Online presentations

2 hour menstrual health and wellbeing events online
Host a fun and engaging menstrual health & wellbeing presentation in the form of an online video that can be shown to large groups, or to small groups across multiple classrooms simultaneously.

• Rural schools, and schools outside our Sydney servicing areas

HOW IT WORKS:
• Choose a date to host your online presentation
• On your chosen date, join the presentation via a link we will send you and project it for your students
• We recommend gathering the students and making it a fun wellbeing event
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
Your school will recieve:

• FREE period care products (subject to supply) posted to your school to distribute to students on your presentation day
• A booklet of classroom worksheets and activities for future use is also included for teachers

90 minute well-being presentation on menstrual and reproductive health

In this 1.5 hour presentation, students will learn about the role of hormones in the menstrual cycle and the effect of hormonal imbalances. The presentation explores irregularities that are common among adolescents, such as heavy periods, PMS, missing periods, acne and period pain. Students get the opportunity to hear stories from real women’s experiences with reproductive health conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis and infertility. Students learn help seeking behaviours and are equipped with diet/lifestyle strategies to navigate present and future health challenges, including the science of stress management for more balanced hormones, and how to be informed consumers.
Content includes and goes beyond PDHPE & Science syllabus content

'Know Your Flow' presentation
Strategies to understand your hormones and use your period to your advantage!
90 minute well-being presentation on menstrual and reproductive health
Stage 4 • Stage 5 • Stage 6
This 1.5 hour presentation addresses the most frequently asked questions girls have about the female reproductive system and menstrual cycle. Negative stigmas and fears surrounding menstrual health are addressed as students are encouraged to be in tune with and listen to the signs/symptoms of their body.
The menstrual cycle is broken down into 4 phases and students learn about how they may feel different physically, mentally, emotionally and behaviorally in each stage. Students also learn about conception and the times the female body is able to become pregnant and the times it is not.
For senior students: Sections on contraception choices, STIs, UTIs and breast health can be added
Students are given 3 strategies for better self-confidence and body concept, specifically when it comes to navigating the physical and emotional changes of puberty

'Informed, Empowered' presentation

3x 1 hour well-being presentation on menstrual and reproductive health
(The 3 sessions can be split up over 3 weeks)

This research based presentation aims to take the fear out of having a period with an in depth exploration of the reproductive and endocrine systems, focusing on the unique features of adolescent menstruation.
Students learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of their menstrual cycle, understand what is considered ‘typical’, and learn help seeking behaviours as well as diet/lifestyle strategies to navigate health challenges.
This presentation addresses some of the top concerns of female teens as reported by the Mission Australia youth survey, including the science of stress management for better hormone balance, and strategies for better self-confidence and body concept, specifically when it comes to navigating the physical and emotional changes of puberty.

Girls self esteem workshops with ChooseREAL and Bright Girl Health
Bright Girl Health has partnered up with ChooseREAL to offer schools menstrual health education with Bright Girl Health and self esteem workshops with ChooseREAL.
These combined sessions are done as a half day experience.
ABOUT ChooseREAL interactive workshops:
- ChooseREAL workshops empower girls to powerfully shift their perception of their selves and others, giving them self-confidence, alleviating low self-esteem and it’s damaging impacts.
- The workshop is designed to help girls create immediate and lasting breakthroughs in limiting beliefs, negative self-talk and mindsets.
